The U.S. Census Bureau has invited the public to share their input and ideas for the 2030 Census. The invitation was published in the Federal Register. With this input, the Census Bureau aims to better reach historically undercounted people, overcome challenges and encourage everyone to respond to the 2030 Census.

The Census Bureau is looking for recommendations on:

    • Reaching undercounted groups and motivating everyone to respond.
    • How to reach each household and invite people to respond.
    • How to support people as they respond.
    • How to use technology to increase responses.
    • Improving data quality.

Written comments can be submitted by email to DCMD.2030.Research@census.gov or on the Federal Register website by Nov. 15.

Further information and a preliminary timeline can be found on the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2030 Census website.
