Counties at the Capitol Legislative Day Set for Feb. 7
About a month after the Texas Legislature convenes on Jan. 10, county officials will gather in Austin for TAC's Counties at the Capitol Day. The event will bring attendees up to speed on the most significant issues facing county government in the 88th legislative session. The day-long program offers ample opportunity for county officials to connect with their legislators and their staffs.
Mark your calendar and make plans to come to Austin for this important day.

Hear from key legislators and others who will provide an overview of the 88th legislative session. Learn more about the big issues and how you can get involved.
Tuesday Afternoon Texas Capitol Building
Meetings With Legislators
Make sure to schedule appointments with your legislators and their staffs in advance so you can meet with them that afternoon regarding issues of importance to you and your county. This will be an individual activity.
4:30-6:30 p.m.
TAC Fourth-Floor Events Center
Legislative Reception
Personally invite your legislators to the TAC Legislative Reception being held at the Texas Association of Counties building. This informal event will provide opportunities to engage with your legislators and their staffs in a relaxed atmosphere, as well as network with legislators from across the state. Please be sure to invite your legislator even if you are unable to attend.
The TAC building is located at 1210 San Antonio St. in Austin.
