CLG Training Opportunity a Success!
The Texas Association of Counties’ Core Legislative Group (CLG) virtually welcomed more than 40 county officials from across the state last month as it kicked off the first of several training sessions for CLG members. Cary Roberts shared his extensive experience at the Capitol and in public relations. His presentation focused on the ins and outs of the legislative process and what to expect during the upcoming 2023 legislative session.
The CLG is open to any elected official and is a great way to collaborate on legislative issues, gain access to trainings and take part in Counties at the Capitol and County Government Day. Becoming a member of CLG is another vital tool to share the county voice at the Capitol. For more information, please contact CLG Coordinators Aurora Flores or Kelsey Bernstein (clg@county.org).
