State Broadband Office Hosts Roundtable for Local Governments
Thanks to all who participated in the first Broadband Development Office (BDO) Local Government Roundtable, held online on Oct. 13. BDO staff provided a high-level overview of broadband efforts in Texas, including the proposed rules that will govern the state’s broadband program. Participants asked many questions about the various state and federal funding options available to local governments, including which funding options include a local match, and which providers have submitted their data to the BDO.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. (CDT). Subsequent meetings will be the first Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. Please mark your calendars and use this meeting link to join using Microsoft Teams.
Send your broadband questions or potential future agenda ideas to broadband@cpa.texas.gov.
