The Texas Association of Counties held its inaugural County Elections Academy Oct. 5-6. TAC expanded its educational programs to include the academy for county election officials.

Its purpose is to provide a forum for county election officials to learn from their colleagues and share their expertise, including how they organize and conduct elections in their counties. Attendees were schooled in how best to conduct efficient and effective elections as they prepare for the fast-approaching Nov. 8 general election.

The TAC County Elections Academy will become an annual event. The next academy will take place in April 2023. Details to come.
