County, District Clerks Hold Midwinter Conference
The County and District Clerks' Association of Texas held its midwinter conference in Round Rock in Williamson County Jan. 23-26. About 450 clerks and staff attended the four-day event.
The conference agenda included presentations on the Public Information Act, countering ransomware attacks and reverting unclaimed property to the state or other entities. Waller County Judge Trey Duhon and Williamson County Judge Bill Gravel spoke about how important communication is in the workplace. Tom Green County Auditor and TAC Board President Nathan Cradduck addressed the clerks on how to properly prepare for their annual budget requests, which can be key to gaining approval.
