"In 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 disaster, the Governor suspended various provisions of the Open Meetings Act. Are those suspensions still in effect or not?"

According to the Texas Attorney General's website, the suspensions of certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act during the COVID-19 disaster will be lifted at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2021. For more information about the lifting of the suspensions, contact the Office of the Attorney General at (888) 672-6787 or via e-mail at TOMA@oag.texas.gov.
