Collaborative Crisis Response and Intervention Training Program, FY2024
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is accepting applications for funding to support law enforcement, correctional officers, and probation and parole departments in partnering with mental health and substance use professionals and agencies to ensure that appropriate responses are provided to individuals in crisis who have behavioral health conditions, or intellectual, physical, or developmental disabilities. There are two funding categories – one for a training program for patrol-based law enforcement officers, including probation and parole departments, and the other for a training program for facility-based correctional officers and Sheriff Departments’ deputies and jailers. Eligible applicants include state agencies and city and county governments.
