Tax Assessor-Collectors Convene, Honor Award Winners
The Tax Assessor-Collectors Association of Texas (TACA) gathered Nov. 18-20 in Montgomery County for the 43rd Annual V.G. Young School for County Tax Assessor-Collectors. Attendees took part in educational seminars to meet continuing education requirements, learn from peers and enjoy camaraderie and networking.
During the conference, the association recognized Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector and TACA President-Elect Larry Gaddes as Tax Assessor-Collector of the Year. The award honors a county tax assessor-collector for their dedication to public service, innovation in tax processes and efforts that benefit taxpayers and TACA.
TACA also honored McLennan County Tax Assessor-Collector and TAC Board of Directors Vice President Randy H. Riggs with the Carl Smith Memorial Award. The award recognizes an individual whose career exemplifies excellence, commitment and positive influence in tax assessment and collection. Recipients are selected based on their lifetime commitment to public service, integrity in handling taxpayer funds and ability to innovate and streamline tax collection processes in their county.
