Annual Cybersecurity Compliance Training
Education and Training Texas Government Code § 2054.5191 requires all county employees, elected officials and appointed officials who have access to a local government computer system or database to complete an annual cybersecurity training that has been certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).

TAC CIRA will be closed on Friday, June 19, for Juneteenth. Requests that need to be completed prior to Monday, June 22 should be submitted no later than 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.

Application and TAC Scholarship
Education and Training TAC provides a scholarship to each participant selected. The scholarship covers Leadership 254 course materials, assessments, food and lodging.

Program Structure and Expectations
Education and Training Leadership 254 challenges, stretches and, most importantly, transforms participants into leaders who can positively affect their counties and Texas.
Education and Training TAC will send a detailed agenda to participants prior to the start date of all modules. Lodging is included, and TAC will manage the hotel reservations for each module.
Education and Training TAC submits applications for CE credit to each governing body. Upon approval, the number of hours will be posted.
Education and Training Leadership 254 is designed to advance the skills of county officials to enable them to meet the unique challenges of their duties and to enhance their leadership skills and style.
