TAC Legislative Exchanges to Return This Fall
The Texas Association of Counties Legislative Services team will continue its statewide outreach this fall with a new round of regional legislative exchange meetings following successful spring sessions in Denton, Robertson and Tom Green counties.
TAC’s legislative exchange meetings bring county officials together to discuss issues affecting county government and their regions. Feedback from these meetings helps TAC legislative staff as they meet with legislative offices, work with county official associations and research proposed legislation.
The fall series will begin Sept. 1 in Chambers County, followed by another on Oct. 14 in Lubbock County. A third meeting in Jim Wells County is planned.
Attendance is free and lunch is provided. Stay tuned for details and registration.
As the 90th Texas Legislature approaches, TAC wants to hear directly from county officials and staff about the issues, priorities and concerns facing their communities. TAC’s legislative exchange meetings also provide for regional leaders to share ideas, explore solutions that support local control and strong county government and ask questions of TAC’s legislative staff.
All county officials and staff are encouraged to attend.
