ALERRT Travel Assistance, FY2026
The ALERRT Travel Assistance Grant Program (FY2026), managed by the Texas Office of the Governor’s Public Safety Office (PSO), provides approximately $2.9 million to law enforcement agencies to offset costs associated with sending peace officers to Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). Eligible applicants—including independent school districts, institutions of higher education, and units of local government—can utilize funds for travel expenditures, training stipends, and peace officer overtime required to backfill shifts while officers attend training.
