Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program and Texas Match Assistance Program (TMAP)
The Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) has released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the state’s allocation of the BEAD Program and the TMAP. The NOFA makes available more than $3.3 billion in combined federal and state funding to expand broadband infrastructure aimed at providing lasting, reliable and affordable internet service to unserved and underserved locations across the state. This NOFA incorporates all federal program requirements as specified in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) BEAD Notice of Funding Opportunity as set forth in the NTIA’s June 6, 2025, BEAD Restructuring Policy Notice. Eligible Applicants: cooperatives, nonprofit organizations, public-private partnerships, private companies, public or private utilities, public utility districts, or local governments, tribal organizations and for-profit organizations. Partnerships and consortium applications will be allowed. The deadline for submitting questions about the NOFA is Monday, June 30, 2025.
