Hazard Mitigation Grant Program FY 2025 Post Fire
This grant is available to local governments, state agencies, and private nonprofit organizations that provide essential services. The funding, which is projected to be around $5.78 million, will go to projects that address hazards from declared disasters between Oct. 1, 2024, and Sept. 30, 2025.

Geographic Eligibility: Projects must be located in counties with a disaster declaration.

Project Focus: Projects should directly address the main hazards of the disaster.

Community Impact: Projects that demonstrate a high **Benefit-Cost-Analysis (BCA)** and serve a large population will be prioritized.

Mitigation Plan Alignment: The proposed project must align with the applicant's existing hazard mitigation plan.

Regional Scope: Preference will be given to projects that are multi-jurisdictional or regional.
