“We are drawing up some new employment agreements and want to add a severance provision. Did I hear correctly that we’ll have to post these to our website now?”

Does the county have to post a severance agreement to the county website?

Under Local Government Code §180.011(d), a county that enters into a contract or employment agreement that contains a provision for severance pay shall post each severance agreement in a prominent place on the county’s Internet website. The provision also applies to renewal or renegotiation of an existing contract or employment agreement.
