This session will provide a practical overview of compiling and submitting the clerk’s record for appellate review. Topics will include the required contents of the clerk’s record, common reasons appellate courts return records for correction, and tools and techniques for creating text-searchable PDFs. The session will also cover the recent amendment to the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure allowing an appendix to be filed in lieu of a clerk’s record in certain civil appeals. Attendees will have time for questions and discussion.
