    Is your court doing all it can to protect those whose interests are placed in the hands of a guardian? Guardianship cases are expected to spike with Baby Boomers reaching the age when guardianship will be needed. An overview of the process will be discussed with the goal that your court be aware of and prepared for smooth and efficient guardianship cases.

    There are a number of alternatives under Texas law that might satisfy the basic purposes of a guardianship without the intrusiveness of a full-fledged guardianship case. This session will explore those altrnaties as well as services available to wards. This course satisfies the judicial education requirement of county judges having probate jurisdiction to complete a 1 hour course every 2 years.
