State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program - Assessment and Evaluation Projects

The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) - Assessment and Evaluation Projects (FY 2027), managed by the Texas Office of the Governor's Public Safety Office (PSO), focuses on helping local governments understand and improve their cybersecurity posture through continuous testing and structured assessments. Eligible applicants, including units of local government and federally recognized Native American tribes, can use funds for one-time services such as security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, automated asset discovery, and enhanced logging. A key requirement for this program is a 30% cost-sharing match, and all projects must be approved by FEMA/CISA before an award is released.
