AUSTIN – Comal County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jen Crownover was sworn in Friday, Jan. 9, as vice president of the Texas Association of Counties (TAC) Board of Directors, taking on a key leadership role representing counties across the state.

“I am honored to represent Comal County and to serve as vice president of the TAC Board of Directors,” Crownover said. “My fellow board members and I are committed to advancing the interests of Texas counties and supporting the vital work they do for our communities.”

Crownover has served as Comal County commissioner since 2015 and joined the TAC Board of Directors in 2021. She previously served as president of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas in 2023-24.

Joining Crownover as TAC Board officers for 2026 and 2027 are Denton County Treasurer Cindy Yeatts Brown as president and McLennan County Tax Assessor-Collector Randy H. Riggs as president-elect.

“TAC is fortunate to have Commissioner Crownover as a leader of our association,” TAC Executive Director Susan M. Redford said. “Her dedication to public service and commitment to excellence will be a tremendous asset as we continue supporting counties across Texas.”

Before entering public service, Crownover built a career in business marketing and communications, operating her own consulting company. Her involvement in youth sports and county parks sparked her interest in local government and passion for public service.

The TAC Board of Directors includes at least one county official from each county office. Board members guide the association’s policy priorities and oversees its budget and programs.
