Events affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

TAC is responding to calls for slowing the spread of the disease caused by the coronavirus by cancelling and postponing some conferences and seminars. Some of our affiliate county official associations are doing the same.

At present, the TAC Probate Academy that was set May 6-8 has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The North and East Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association Conference that was set for May 11-14 has been cancelled, but the annual business meeting will be held July 15. The County and District Clerks Conference that was set for May 31-June 4 was cancelled. The TAC Risk Management Pool Regional Workshops scheduled in June have been cancelled. That includes those set June 2 in Chambers County, June 4 in Bee County, June 9 in Denton County, June 11 in Lubbock County and June 25 in Smith County.

In addition, the TAC County Investment Academy, scheduled for June 29-July 1, has been cancelled. The South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association Conference has been rescheduled for Aug. 31-Sept. 3 and the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association Conference scheduled for June 22-26 has been cancelled. A virtual business meeting will be held June 24-25. The Leadership 254: Module 4 has been rescheduled to Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
TAC is reviewing event dates as pandemic conditions change. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak in Texas and coordinating with hotel staff and local emergency management officials in our event locations so that we have the most updated information on the outbreak in those areas.

Should there be changes, we will contact all registered attendees via email and post updates on our website.

As always, TAC is committed to serving its members. We are making every effort to keep our members safe while finding opportunities to provide the educational services our members want and need.

If you have questions about scheduled events, postponements or cancellations, please phone Education and Events Services at (800) 456-5974.

Designed and guided by county officials, our professionally planned educational activities also offer great opportunities to network with your peers.
