Texas counties earn national recognition for innovative programs through 2026 NACo Achievement Awards
Going the extra mile is part of the job for Texas counties. This year, that commitment to innovation, collaboration and public service earned national recognition through the 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Awards.
Each year, NACo honors county governments across the country for developing creative, effective programs that strengthen communities and improve the lives of residents. The Achievement Awards recognize innovative county initiatives that can serve as models for other counties nationwide while highlighting the essential role county government plays in serving the public.
This year, counties from across Texas were recognized for their commitment to finding new ways to meet local needs and deliver exceptional public service.
