2023 Healthy County Boot Camp to focus on collaboration
The Healthy County Boot Camp, set for Feb. 8-10, will visit Denton next year and will emphasize the theme Collaboration Is Key. With this theme, "we want our attendees to better understand how programs and resources can work together to improve and support a healthy workplace culture," said Carrye Chen and Ashley Cureton. Chen is TAC's Wellness Program Administrator, and Cureton is a Wellness Consultant for the TAC Health and Employee Benefits Pool (TAC HEBP).
"Every year, we want our attendees to leave the conference feeling supported, re-energized personally and professionally, and motivated to continue promoting the Healthy County program using the new ideas and skills learned," they said.
Topics under consideration for 2023 include the importance of mental well-being, partnership opportunities between office and departments within a county, and the importance of collaboration in reducing occupational stress.
"We see an opportunity for services and programs across TAC and the state to come together to help serve our mission of making members' lives healthier," they said.
The conference will be in person at the Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center or available online. Registration is free for members of TAC HEBP and $100 for attendees from counties that are not Pool members. To register or to learn more, visit www.county.org/hcbootcamp.
